Galleria Palladio
via Nassa 30

On
Friday, April 7, 2006, at 6 p.m., a personal exhibition
by Raymundo Sesma will open at the Palladio Art Gallery,
the second dedicated to this Mexican artist, after the
one held in the year 2000, by the Luganese gallery.
As we
would like to recall, Sesma shares his time between
Mexico City and Milan, he regularly exhibits his works
in museums and galleries throughout the world, and he
expresses himself both through traditional (painting,
sculpture, drawing, engraving) and contemporary media
(video, installation).
With
this exhibition, Sesma presents a new cycle of
paintings, called Causa y efecto [Cause and effect],
centered on the everlasting conflict between nature and
culture, between the unrestrainable force of nature and
the human attempt to limit its expansion, to modify and
subjugate it to his will.
Whatever the employed means is, Sesma’s art always tries
to give an answer to the traumatic situations that fill
our reality.
